If you have not used this model before:

Have your dealer or a trained expert

show you how to operate it properly and

The Power Tool

WARNING

Avoid touching hot parts of the machine,

especially the muffler and gear housing

– you could suffer serious burns.
Never attempt to modify your power tool

in any way since this may increase the

risk of personal injury. STIHL excludes

all liability for personal injury and

damage to property caused while using

unauthorized attachments.

Transporting the Unit

Always turn off the engine.
Wait for the cutting attachment to come

to a complete standstill. Always fit the

transport guard, even when carrying the

unit short distances.

WARNING

The transport guard must be in good

condition – to reduce the risk of injury

and also protect the cutting attachment.
Carry the unit properly balanced by the

drive tube – cutting attachment behind

you.
In vehicles: Properly secure your power

tool to prevent turnover, fuel spillage and

damage.

Clothing must be sturdy

but allow complete free

dom of movement. Wear

long pants.

To reduce the risk of eye

injuries, wear snug-fitting

safety glasses in accord
