3.12 Other Emergencies ______________________________
3.12.1 System Malfunctions
Warning When
a system behaves not normally - make checks
as
in section 3.12.1.1 through 3.12.1.19.
Before the next flight
find and eliminate the cause of the system malfunction
according to the Maintenance Manual. If necessary, contact
the manufacturer.
3.12.1.1 Fuel-Pressure-Gauge
a) Fuel-pressure below 1.5:
If the fuel-pressure-gauge is below 1.5, the fuel-pressure is below the allowable
limit of 150 mbar / 2.1 psi. There can also be a malfunction of the gauge or
sensor-system.
The low fuel-pressure can cause an engine-malfunction. The cause could be:
- no fuel-supply to engine
- engine malfunction
- fuel-system malfunction
The following procedure is recommended:
1.
Fuel-shut-off-valve
OPEN
2.
Auxiliary-fuel-pump
ON (green light is ON)
3.
Fuel-amount of the feeder-tank
CHECK, if the yellow low-fuel-
caution-light of the feeder-tank
is ON continuously
If the yellow low-fuel-caution-
light is ON proceed acc. to
3.12.1.3
4.
Fuel-quantity
CHECK (fuel-gauges left and
right)
If necessary transfer fuel from
the left auxiliary tank to the
right main tank by switching
ON the transfer pump
