Extension of functionality
In the basic version with a monitoring unit the display is
mounted directly on the monitoring unit. The display shows
the kWh generated and any system messages that may oc-
cur. The StecaGrid Remote receives the information from the
monitoring unit via a wireless connection. In addition to the
information from the monitoring unit, other information is
also displayed on the remote display, such as the current sys-
tem output and the energy generated per day, week, month
or year.
6.3
System requirements
6.3.1 Regulations for electrical installation
Caution
Damage to the system.
•
Make sure that the photovoltaic system conforms to
the VDEW regulations for decentralised grid feeding
and the requirements of the DK5940.
•
Use only solar modules carrying a protection class II
certification mark.
•
Insulate the DC cabling and connection plugs in ac-
cordance with protection class II (double-insulated
cables).
•
The plant must be equipped with an AC/DC sensitive
residual current protection switch type B in accord-
ance with DIN VDE 0100-410.
Note
When using solar modules with a grounded metal
or metallic rear panel (or solar modules mounted on
them), an impermissible fault current can flow and
trigger the system’s fault current circuit breaker. We
recommend that you do not use these kinds of mod-
ules.
