Identify the left pedal. It is marked with an 'L'.

Put it on the left pedal crank.

•

Use your fingers to turn the thread of the left pedal into the threaded hole of the pedal crank. Note that
the left pedal has a left thread: when viewed from the side, turn it in to the left.

•

Tighten the pedal to the left using the open-end wrench.

•

Repeat the steps for the right pedal. It is marked with an 'R'.

•

But note that the right pedal has a right thread: to tighten it, it must always be turned to the right.
