3.9.3.
AdBlue display
The EAS system reduces the exhaust emissions by means of a post-treatment of the exhaust gasses.
AdBlue is needed for the EAS system to work properly. The system must be regularly cleaned
(regenerated).
AdBlue must meet the specifications of ISO 22241, the standard that replaces DIN 70070.
Not using the AdBlue in accordance with the vehicle specifications to reduce the emission of
pollutants, is a criminal offense and may
void the manufacturer’s warranty.
3.9.3.1.
Warning AdBlue level low
When the AdBlue level is low, the system alerts in four steps, in which the alert is followed by an
explanation.
The text and system reactions are as follows:

AdBlue level low
The MIL warning indicator lights up (see
Fill the AdBlue tank to prevent further warnings.
CAUTION!
Spilled AdBlue can be removed with water.
