Customizing the Handset Display and Other Preferences

You can adjust the text that displays on the screen in the Preferences menu. Each of the options listed next is
available in the Preferences menu.

To open the Preferences menu:

•

From the Home screen, navigate to

Settings > Basic Settings > Preferences

. Scroll to view all the options.

Language

The

Language

option allows you to change the language of menu options and other text that displays on the

handset.

Time & Date

Select the

Time and Date

option on the Preference menu to get to the Time and Date screen. You can choose the

Clock Date, Clock Time, Clock Order, or you can disable/enable the time and date display.

Headset Ringing

The

Headset Ringing

option enables the handset to remember that it has a headset plugged into it. You may enable

or disable this option. If you enable it, you do not need to select the Headset option from the Speaker softkey menu
every time you plug in a headset. Enable this option if you use a headset most of the time.

Corporate Directory (if enabled)

You use the Corporate Directory option when you want to display entries in the corporate directory chronologically
instead of alphabetically. See Searching the Corporate Directory.
