Chapter 5: Push-to-Talk (PTT) and Paging

The Push-to-Talk (PTT) and Paging features enable you to broadcast a call to as many people as have subscribed
to a PTT channel or Paging group. PTT is a two-way radio feature that opens a channel for ongoing two-way
communication that uses the Talk button on the left side of the handset. Multiple channels can be open at the same
time. Paging is a one way feature that opens a call cell but does not support a response or multiple page cells. It is
an option on the Feature softkey. Your system administrator enables these features and determines the best way to
deploy these features in your facility. Contact your system administrator if you need help with these features.

Note: When to use Paging

The Paging feature is normally used only in environments where Polycom desk sets are deployed and broadcasts
need to reach both Spectralink wireless telephones and Polycom wired desk sets. Paging is not normally otherwise
deployed.

Manage both features in the Settings menu. Navigate to

Settings > Basic Settings > Preferences > Paging/PTT
