4.2.4 

CLEAR BATTERY ALARM 

 

The 

Clear Battery Alarm 

command

, CA BAT

resets the Replace Battery lamp 

and the Minor Alarm relay.  This command should be used only to reset the 

alarms after replacing a failed battery.  Resetting the alarms without battery 

replacement will temporarily clear the alarm.  The alarm may reassert upon 

performing the daily battery test at midnight. 

 

When a CA BAT command is issued, the unit responds with a change in status 

report.  This report time stamps when the Replace Battery Alarm was reset. 

 

To clear the Replace Battery Alarm, place the unit in Set Mode and issue the 

CA

 

BAT

 command as follows:
