Figure 55 shows the mechanism for the fine angular adjustment. It is helpful to refer to this
picture while following the procedure below.

To set the fine angular adjustment:
1.
Release the two fixing bolts.
2.
Release the locking nuts on the angular adjustment screw. The screw should be able
to rotate freely. Be aware that rotating the screw causes the angular setting of the
camera to change!
3.
While looking at the camera image in CCD Acquire, carefully adjust the screw until
the lines in the image are vertical. You can only move a limited amount in each
direction (this is determined by elongated holes around the fixing bolts).
4.
Tighten the locking nuts.
5.
Tighten the fixing bolts.
Note
Because of the mechanical stress caused when you tighten the nuts and bolts, the exact
alignment may be lost. If this happens, you will need to perform another iteration of the
above procedure.
The screenshot below shows an image taken from a correctly aligned camera. Not only are
the lines sharp, they are also vertical and correctly centered in the X and Y directions. The
line to the left should be at 0 mm on the X-axis. (Select Physical Axis on and Image
Transformation off by right clicking the Y-axis in CCD Acquire, in order to see the mm scale).
