Turn each of the four adjustment nuts by an equal amount. This will move the
camera up or down without affecting the X-Y position. The gap between the lowest
plate and the rest of the holder should be approximately 5 mm.
3.
Check the camera image in CCD Acquire at regular intervals.
4.
Continue to turn the adjustment bolts until you have a sharp image. This is the
optimum distance of the camera.
5.
Tighten the four hex bolts.
A.5.3 Set X–Y
The four hex adjustment bolts allow you to tilt the camera in the X–Y directions until you see
the correct alignment. This arrangement is more convenient than a three-point adjustment,
since you can easily concentrate on one axis at a time.
Note
The gap between the lower plate and the rest of the camera holder is ~5 mm. This is close to
the correct focus setting for the camera. You should therefore avoid changing the height
setting too much while changing the X–Y position.
To set the X–Y position:
1.
Loosen either the X or Y pair of hex bolts, see Figure 53.
