7.3.7 Finishing Teach Events
Teach events are either POSN/DRILL or MILL events that are originated in the DRO Mode
(see Section 6.7).
The Teach events that are started in the DRO Mode must be finished in the Program
Mode before running. Teach events are of these different types:
TEACH POSN/DRILL
- See Section 7.5 for a description of Position/Drill event prompts.
TEACH MILL
- a straight line that specifies the beginning and the end. When TEACH
MILL events are defined using the CONT MILL softkey, the prompts for information that
cannot change will be suppressed. See Section 7.5 for a description of Mill event
prompts.
When a Teach event is unfinished, the event header will appear in purple. Once all the
prompts are completed, the word “Teach” will disappear. The event will become a
normal POSN DRILL or MILL event.
7.4 Programming Events

(2 ½ axis mode)
The following events are found in the TRAK DPMEX2 machine when running in 2 ½ axis mode. 2
axis mode on this machine is the same as what is listed in section 7.3.
7.4.1 Posn Drill
When you press the POSN/DRILL key, you choose between the following:

Posn:
a single position.
•
Drill:
a single drill event
•
Bolt Hole:
a series of positions spaced evenly around a circle.
•
Pause:
this event allows you to pause the program at a certain event. When
program the Z will move up to Z retract. The user will have to press GO to continue
the program.
7.4.2 Mill Event
This event is the same as in 2 axis mode except, you must program Z information.

7.4.3 Arc Event
This event is the same as in 2 axis mode, except you must program Z information.

7.4.4 Pocket/Profile Event
These events are the same as in 2 axis mode, except you must program Z information.
•
Circle pocket:
a circle and all the material in the center. Includes finish cut.
•
Rectangular pocket:
a rectangle and all the material in the middle. Includes finish cut.
•
Circle profile:
a circular circumference. Includes finish cut.
•
Rectangular profile:
a square or rectangular circumference. Includes finish cut.
