CAUTION!
Never attempt to change the range selection through the High-Low-Neutral lever when the
spindle is rotating. Be certain the spindle ON/OFF switch is in the Off position
.
Rotate the spindle by hand to help engage the lever into the high or low position.
Note: Shifting from the high to low range, or low to high range changes the direction of rotation
for the On/Off switch (See Section 4.2.1).
4.2.7 Speed Changes
Spindle speed may be varied by rotating the variable speed crank.
CAUTION!
Do not rotate the variable speed crank when the spindle is stationary.
4.2.8 Operating the Quill
The quill may be moved up and down through its range with the quill feed handle. The
quill may be locked into position by rotating the quill lock clockwise. Pull the handle out
slightly to rotate it freely to a new position.
4.2.9 Adjusting the Quill Stop
The quill stop may be adjusted by rotating the micrometer dial nut. It is locked in place
with the knurled nut.
4.2.10 Power Feed Engagement Lever

The power feed is engaged or disengaged with this selector. Pull out the knob and
rotate it clockwise to disengage power feed. Rotate it counterclockwise to engage power
feed.
CAUTION!
It is recommended that the selector be disengaged when the spindle is not running. Never have
the feed engaged when the spindle RPM is over 3000. Always leave the selector in the
disengaged position unless the feed function is being used.
