ImageDirector
Features
Using ImageDirector, you can adjust the
projector’s gamma value to your satisfaction
from a computer connected to the projector.
ImageDirector Ver.2 enables you to adjust
the luminance curve of an input signal
differently from the previous version of
ImageDirector.
The projector can share adjustments with
other projectors because ImageDirector
Ver.2.0 adjusts the curve without changing
the preset gamma value on each projector.
You can then save this adjusted value to
your computer.
Refer to the ReadMe.txt and the online help
on the supplied CD-ROM for ImageDirector
operating instructions.
Operating system environment
for ImageDirector
The ImageDirector application can be used
in any of the following operating system
environments.
Operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98SE,
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows
Me, Windows XP Home Edition/
Professional
CPU:
MMX Pentium 166 MHz or more
(Pentium II 300 MHz or more
recommended)
Hard disk:
10 MB or more of free space
Memory:
32 MB or more
Other hardware requirements:
CD-ROM drive
If connecting to the projector using a
USB jack: USB port (this must be
provided as standard), USB cable
If connecting to the projector using a
COM port: RS-232C serial port, D-sub
9-pin cross (reverse) cable
Screen resolution:
SVGA (800 × 600 dots) or above, 65536
colors or more
Notes
• ImageDirector will not work on some computers
even though they satisfy the above requirements.
• ImageDirector will not work on Macintosh systems.

Installing ImageDirector
To use ImageDirector, you need to install it
on your computer. You need to do this
before you use ImageDirector for the first
time, or whenever you replace the operating
system on your computer.
Install ImageDirector as follows.
Notes
• If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional, or Windows XP Home
Edition/Professional on your computer, log on using
the “administrator” account.
• If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional, install ImageDirector on your computer
after making sure Microsoft Windows 2000 Service
Pack 3 or above is already installed.
• If you are using Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition/Professional, install ImageDirector on your
computer after making sure Microsoft Windows XP
Service Pack 1 or above is already installed.

Insert the ImageDirector CD-ROM in the
computer’s CD-ROM drive.
The startup window appears.

Click [Install] on the startup window.
Installation starts automatically and the
setup dialog box opens.

Proceed with installation following the
messages displayed in the setup dialog
box.
Notes
• During installation, an electronic “End-user License
Agreement” is displayed. It is important that you
read the agreement first. Only after you agree with
the agreement you can install ImageDirector.
• If you already have a version of ImageDirector
installed, quit the existing ImageDirector and
uninstall it before you update your ImageDirector.
Install the latest ImageDirector only after you have
uninstalled the previous ImageDirector.
