This chapter describes the recording functions that are available on the HD
RECORDING SERVER.
The following recording operations can be performed with the HD
RECORDING SERVER.
• Connect to the HD VISUAL COMMUNICATION SERVER to record

meetings.

• Record one-to-one (P2P) connections between H.323 terminals (mainly

Sony terminals) or multipoint connections that use the H.323 terminal’s
internal MCU.

P2P connections for PC Endpoint cannot be recorded. To record P2P connections for
PC Endpoint, use the recording functions on PC Endpoint.

Recording Function

The HD RECORDING SERVER can only record videos that meet the
following requirements.

Video codec:

H.264

Bandwidth:

Up to 2 Mbps

Resolution:

720p, W432P, W448P, W4CIF, 4CIF, 4SIF, 448P, 4SIF,
XGA, VGA, QVGA, WCIF, CIF, SIF, QCIF

Audio codec:

G.722, MEPG4-AAC-LC

H.239 codec:

H.264, H.263+

H.239 resolution: XGA or less

Only H.264 is supported for main video.
If connections are made with meetings of other codecs (H.261, H.263, MPEG4, etc.),
only audio will be recorded.
