Connections and Settings

Turn the Jog dial to choose YES, and turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise.

Formatting of the memory stick begins.
The progress status is displayed during formatting.

When formatting is completed, a completion
message is displayed, and the indicator of the
COPY button goes dark.

CD-R/DDS (Digital Data Storage) drive

Insert a commercially available FAST SCSI card into
the PC card slot on the rear panel.
If you connect a CD-R drive, you can copy picture
data to a CD-R.
A DDS drive (DDS-2 or DDS-3 type) can be
connected, enabling backup and restoration of data in
the archive area.
SCSI card: ADAPTEC SlimSCSI 1460 or equivalent

For a list of CD-R and DDS drives that can be used with
this unit, consult your Sony dealer.

Saving/Loading of Menu Settings

You can save the values you set with the menus on a
memory stick and load the stored values from the
memory stick to restore the menu settings.

Saving the menu settings

Insert a memory stick into the PC card adaptor set
in the PC card slot of this unit.

Press the MENU button to display MAIN MENU 1
on the monitor screen.

Hold the SHUTTLE HOLD button pressed (for
more than 3 seconds) until the COPY MENU
SETTINGS display appears on the screen.

PC CARD, and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to
advance to the next display.

A confirmation message is displayed.

Turn the Jog dial to choose YES, and turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise.

Saving begins.
The progress status is displayed during saving.
When saving is completed, a completion message
is displayed.

To cancel saving before beginnig the
operation

Turn the Shuttle dial counterclockwise.
Saving once started cannot be stopped.
