3-1. Setup Menu

SV/AV REF SERVO A/V INP Select the servo reference signal using this menu.
REFERENCE EXT INP : The input signal that is input to either the CAMERA
SELECT connector or the SDI IN connector and is selected by the
VIDEO INPUT SELECTOR switch on the connector
panel, is selected as the servo reference signal.
EXT : An externally input signal is forcibly selected as the
servo reference signal.
However, when no input signal is connected to the
REFERENCE IN connector, servo systems operate on
internal reference signal.
EXT REF EXTERNAL HD When the EXT position is selected by the SERVO A/V
REFERENCE NTSC REFERENCE SELECT item, any of the input signals that are
SELECT connected to the REFERENCE IN connector is selected as the
reference signal on which the entire system of the unit operates.
HD :
Either 1125/59.94 or 1125/60 signal of both the positive
and negative polarity sync signals that is input to the
REFERENCE IN connector, is selected as the reference
signal of playback mode and audio signal recording
mode.
Either 59.94 kHz or 60 kHz sync signal is selected by
the SYSTEM menu item “SYSTEM”. (Refer to Section
6-3 of Operation Manual.)
NTSC : Either the video signal with chroma and burst (VBS) or
the B/W video signal (VS) that is input to the
REFERENCE IN connector, is selected as the reference
signal of playback mode and audio signal recording mode.
STILL TMR STILL TIMER 0.5 sec The unit enters automatically the tape protection mode
5 sec when a specified time has elapsed after the unit enters the tape
10 sec stop mode (stop mode or still picture mode of the SEARCH
20 sec mode) in order to protect video head and tape from damage.
30 sec This sub-menu is used to set the time until the unit enters
40 sec the tape protection mode after it has entered the tape stop
50 sec mode. Any period of time in the range of 0.5 seconds to 30

SEARCH SEARCH SPEED x2 The tape speed during SEARCH when the FF or REW button is

FREEZE FREEZE MODE FLD Select a freeze mode during FREEZE.
FRM FLD : Picture freezes in the units of field.
FRM : Picture freezes in the units of frame.
