2-1. Overview of Error Message

This unit has self-diagnostics function.

When trouble is detected, an WARNING indicator next the LCD monitor is lighted

immediately, and an error message is displayed on the sub LCD.

Also, an error code and error message are superimposed on the video monitor

connected to the VIDEO OUTPUT 2 (SUPER) connector and LCD monitor.

Furthermore, as for the some error codes, object which error occurred is displayed as

sub error message on the video monitor and LCD monitor.

To superimpose the error message on the video monitor, Set the SUPER item to

ON by using the general setting page of the sub LCD menu. (For sub LCD menu,

refer to the operation manual.)

There are the error messages without error code. These messages are only

displayed on the sub LCD.

The error messages with error code are memorized to NV-RAM (Non-volatile

RAM) as the error logging data.

(Refer to Section 3 for the error logging data.)

The messages on the sub LCD differ from the messages which are superimposed

on the LCD monitor (video monitor) in some items.
