DNW-A220P

To execute downloading

(1) Connect the memory card box. (Refer to Section 1-18.)

(2) Insert the memory card written with the software into

the memory card box.

(3) Initiate the maintenance mode and select the D0, D1,

D2 or D3 menu.

(4) Turn the JOG dial to set the

mark to the software/

data to be downloaded on the LCD monitor display.

(5) Press the JOG dial or SET button once.

On pressing it, the memory card ID and the soft-

ware/data are checked.

When any abnormality does not found, the software

name, and its version or data name will be displayed.

And also, message “EXECUTE-OFF” will be

displayed.

If any error message is displayed, see page 3-60 for

details and troubleshooting.

(6) When downloading software, check the displayed

software version.

The number displayed on the ROM column is the

software version of this unit.

The number displayed on the CARD column is the

software version written on the memory card.

When the version on the CARD column is lower

than that on the ROM column, it is unnecessary to

download the software. Press the MENU button to

exit the menu.

When executing download, proceed to step (7) and later.

Downloading

Strictly observe the followings during downloading.

Do not turn off the power.

Do not insert nor remove the memory card.

Do not insert any cassette tape.

Otherwise the software of the ROM side of this unit will

damage, disabling proper downloading.

(7) Turn the JOG dial to set the

mark to “EXECUTE-

OFF!”.

(8) While pressing the JOG dial downward, turn it

clockwise to display EXECUTE-ON”.

When changed to “EXECUTE-ON”, “PUSH SET

BUTTON TO EXECUTE” will be displayed.

When turning the JOG dial counterclockwise while

pressing it, the display returns to “EXECUTE-OFF”.

(9) Press the SET button once to execute download.

During download, “Downloading…” is displayed.
