Change the
‘
IP address
’, ‘
Subnet mask
’, and ‘
Default gateway
’ according to local network
policy. This provides a unique identification of a product in the defined Subnet Mask on the
IP network. The Subnet Mask is a configurable range of accessible IP addresses and the
Default Gateway is used to direct communications to IP addresses not in the defined Subnet
Mask.

If necessary, change the DHCP (Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol) configuration.
This is a computer networking protocol used
by devices (DHCP clients, i.e. this product) on
a network to automatically obtain IP address
from a DHCP server. Typically, an IP address
is retained until the device is rebooted. When
‘
On
’ the IP network parameters are assigned
by the DHCP server.

If necessary
, change the ‘
DNS server
’
(Domain Name System). This is the IP
address of the server that manages the
trans
lation of the configured ‘
Hostname
’ into
an ‘
IP Address
’ that may change if ‘
DHCP

Remember The DNS server may need to be configured to support non-Microsoft clients.

If necessary

This manages the IP address and Hostname (NetBIOS name) resolution of each device

IP Config
’ changes and restart this product. It
automatically restarts (as confirmed by a ‘beep’) and loads the ‘
