Installation Procedure

This section describes the installation procedure for all versions of the I-V Measurement
Unit.

I-V Measurement Unit Installation Procedure

Hardware Installation

The only hardware installation is to ensure that the battery is fully charged before
operating. Refer to Charging the Battery.

Software Installation

Software may be shipped with the instrument on a USB flash drive.

Insert the PVA software USB flash drive into the slot on your Windows

computer.

If the welcome screen does not automatically open as shown in Figure 2, either
double-click on the

setup.exe

file on the USB flash drive or run

setup.exe

from the

Run

dialog. Alternately, the installation file is available at

http://www.solmetric.com/downloads-pva.html

Follow the instructions in the welcome screen to install the PVA software. The
drivers for the wireless USB adapter will also be installed.

During installation, the following dialog may appear. Connect your computer to
the Internet to allow downloading of the required prerequisites.
