SMART LightRaise Installation and User's Guide
This procedure involves the following steps:
•
connect the boom cable bundle to the cables of the internal bundle and to the console
Control System
•
install and connect the internal computer
•
install and connect the VCR or DVD player
•
place the external computer cable bundle
NOTE:
If your internal computer is a Macintosh computer, you'll need to use the Macintosh
serial adapter. If your connections are USB, you'll need a SMART USB adapter. Order both
adapters from SMART Technologies Inc.
Hardware required:
•
your
computer
•
your VCR or DVD player
•
infrared
receiver
•
country-specific cable adapter for your VCR or DVD
player
•
power cable (from the power kit)
NOTE:
Some of the cable bundles may be tethered to secure them for shipping. You can free
the bundles before you connect them if their location isn't convenient.
To connect the boom cable bundle:
NOTE:
The bundle consists of a serial cable, an RGB video cable, an S-video cable and a
power cable. At the other end, these cables will be connected to your projector. Your cables
may vary, depending on your type of projector.

Connect the DB9 (C01) connector of the serial cable to the DB9 port of the Control
System, which is labeled Projector Control (C01).

Connect the HD15 (V01) connector of the RGB video cable to the HD15 port of the
Control System, which is labeled Projector Video (V01).

Connect the S-video (V02) connector to the S-video extension (V06) included in the cable
bundle on the left side.

Connect the power plug (P05) to the projector power (P02) cable extension included in the
cable bundle on the left side.
