4. Connecting the Cables

Where possible, all connections for the SMART LightRaise projector mount have been done
for you. However, during installation, you must make various connections to link the
components.

The following five bundles of cables are located inside the console:

•

  the bundle from the boom, consisting of four cables that run behind the SMART Board

interactive whiteboard and through a cable grommet into the console

•

  the bundle coming from the left side of the console, consisting of six cables to connect

projector power, video, keyboard and mouse

•

  the internal computer bundle, consisting of nine cables to connect the internal computer

(on left side of console)

•

  the VCR or DVD player bundle, consisting of three cables to connect the VCR or DVD

player (on right door of console)

•

  the external computer bundle, consisting of two cables to connect the external computer

(on right side of console)

You'll also receive a serial cable to connect the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. For
shipment, this cable will be looped with internal computer cable bundle.
