6.5 Battery-backed operation (optional)

NOTE

The operating time of the storage batteries is not constant. It depends
on the charge state, the load and the age of the storage batteries.

NOTE

In battery mode, the CEREC AC acquisition unit must remain
connected to the mains supply for at least two hours after using the
battery buffering to charge the storage batteries.
At least every three months the CEREC AC acquisition unit must be
connected to the mains supply to charge the storage batteries.

Monitoring program

The monitoring program is represented in the task bar by the following
symbol:

The color of the symbol has the following meaning:

● Green = line voltage present, fan functioning, temperature OK.

● Yellow = Unit running in battery-powered mode, all other operating

parameters OK.

● Red = error

Following a double-click on the symbol, the following monitoring window
opens:
