Alert and system failures |

Argus Radar Operator Manual

The Alerts list

The Alerts list includes a list of active alerts together with a historic listing of the latest 100
alerts. All alerts in the Alerts list include a time stamp.

An alert is moved to the historic listing after the alert is removed from the Alerts panel.

Audio On/O

Pressing this button, the operator can temporarily silence all alerts for 30 seconds.

Radar presentation failure

Inside the own ship window, there is a small animated icon. This icon shows that the graphic
presentation is continuously updated.

If the graphic process displaying the radar picture fails, and the failure is unrecoverable, this
small symbol will stop, the system failure light on the contr

ol panel will flash and the system

fail relay output will be activated.

Alphabetic alarm listing

The following Table lists the possible alert messages. When one of them occurs, the failure
LED of the keyboard is lid, the Alert button is displayed in its area, labelled with the received
alert and if the audio alarm is activated, a sound will start as well. It is possible to acknowledge
the alert by pressing the Alerts button, which will remove the alert from the system until it
returns, and the Alerts button is labelled with a new alert when present, otherwise it stays
hidden.
