Electrical connection
CAUTION! Electric current!!
The electrical connection of the FMP1 should only be carried out by a fully qualified elec-
trician.
De-energize the electrical system before connecting the FMP1.
The device has been manufactured in compliance with the applicable electromagnetic com-
patibility (EMC) regulations, the Low Voltage Directive and the German Equipment Safety Act.
To ensure compliance with these regulations, the electrical connections must always be
made as described in this section.
Always observe the connection markings on the rear of the device.
The electrical connections of the FMP1 are made
using the two terminal strips on the rear of the
device.
The terminal strip plugs can be unplugged to
make wiring easier.
The plugs have different pitches and dimensions
to prevent misconnection when they are plugged
in.
5.1
Supply voltage
The supply voltage is connected via the 3-way terminal strip.
IMPORTANT NOTICES!
External fuses are necessary. Observe the specified minimum cross-section for the
protective earth lead!
An external fuse for each power lead is required to ensure compliance with safety regu-
lations.
The protective earth lead must also have at least the specified minimum cross-section.
Connect the two power leads (N and L) through external fuses
(2 x 50 mA, 250 V, delayed).
Note that the cross-section of the protective earth lead must be at least 1 mm
