6.2.3 Manual Mode
6.2.3.1 Starting the Centrifuge
The centrifuge is ready for operation when the start key is illuminated.
Press the start key in order to start a centrifugation run.
6.2.3.2 Interrupting a Centrifugation Run
Press the stop key in order to interrupt a centrifugation run. The
centrifugation run will be terminated prematurely.
6.2.3.3 Interrupting a Deceleration Process
Press the start key during a deceleration process in order to
interrupt it and to restart the centrifuge.
6.2.3.4 Softstart and Softstop Function
The softstart function is used to extend the acceleration time,
whereas the softstop function is used to extend the deceleration time.
The current combination is shown on the display. The stop key can
be used to cyclically select various combinations:
Activating the softstart function
Activating the softstart function and the softstop function
Activating the softstop function alone
Activating the softstart function and the no brake deceleration.
The “soft stop” display flashes when the no brake deceleration is
active.
Activating the “no brake deceleration” function alone (the “soft
stop” display flashes)
Return to the standard operating mode
6.2.3.5 Runtime
The runtime of the centrifuge can be set at different intervals in a
range from 10 seconds to 11 hours and 59 minutes.
To select the desired centrifugation time:
Turn the left function key until “set” appears in the lower left area
of the display (Fig 6.6).
Select the option by pressing or turning the right function key.
“Set” will now flash.
Turn the right function key until the desired duration is displayed.
After 11:59 min, the display changes from “min:sec“ to “hrs:min“.
The time can then be changed in steps of 10 minutes.
