The MPI ports of the S7-300-CPU can be used with the following CPU types:
All variants of the CPU 312, CPU 312C, CPU 314 and CPU 314C;
the CPU 315-2 DP and the CPU 315F-2 DP

The TIM 3 variants
There are three variants of the TIM 3 each with a different integrated modem type. These
communications processors share the following properties:
● TIM with integrated modem, double width
● For installation as a communications processor (CP) in an S7-300
● An S7-300 CPU or a C7 control system can then handle SINAUT communication over a
SINAUT WAN. The network is not dependent on the internal TIM modem.
● Communication is possible with SINAUT ST7 and SINAUT ST1 partners.
● In addition to data transmission over the WAN, the following communication is also
possible:
– With the CPU
