Configuring the CP 5412 (A2)
Configuration
Functions
After you have selected a CP 5412 (A2), three configuration functions
can be called in the “Edit” menu of SINEC Setup:
•
Modify Configured CP
•
Configure New CP
•
Delete Configured CP
The modifications you make with these functions will only
become effective after you reboot DOS/Windows 3.x.
The configuration tool has a context-sensitive help system that
describes all the functions.
Modify Configured
CP
The “Modify Configured CP” function allows you to change the
configuration parameters of the selected CP 5412 (A2).
You can also use this function to configure a CP 5412 (A2) for the first
time.
Configure New CP
The “Configure New CP” function creates a new data record with
configuration parameters. This is only necessary when you want to
operate more than one CP 5412 (A2) in your computer or when you
want to operate one CP with several names.
The steps involved in this function correspond to those of the “Modify
Configured CP” function.
Delete Configured
CP
With the “Delete Configured CP” function you can delete the selected
data record containing configuration parameters. The resources such
as the interrupt, I/O ranges and DPRAM addresses released by the
deleted data record are then available for other configurations.
