Step by Step
LDAP database
You can search an LDAP database (corporate phone-
book) for contact entries if you can reach this database
over your network and your access was correctly con-
figured by your administrator.
You can perform searches using the name (simple
search) or different information on an entry (advanced
search), for example, job title or department name.
Finding an LDAP entry

Press the key until the "Corporate"
("LDAP") tab is active.
Select and confirm the option shown in the
Options
context menu.
Select and confirm the required search field
(for example, "Last name").

Enter a search text.
Once you have completed all required search fields,
confirm the search request by selecting and confirming
"OK" on the display keypad (

page 30).
You can perform searches using the name (simple

You can now:

call the LDAP contact (

•
view the LDAP entry (see below).

that
•
the entry of wildcards is not permitted.
•
an * is automatically inserted at the start of
the search string for phone numbers.
•
an * is inserted at the end of the search string
in other fields.
