You should set a docking station password to prevent unauthorized access to the MobiDock.

Transferring data with the infrared interface

The infrared interface (Fast IrDA) at the back of the notebook enables wireless serial data transfer.

By default, the infrared interface is set to

COM2

in the setup. You can change the setting in the

IrDA Port

field in the

Integrated Peripherals

submenu in

Advanced Setup

The devices may be no more than one meter apart. The infrared interface of one device must be
in the range of influence (horizontally approx. 30° and vertically approx. 15°) of the infrared
