Preparation:

Connect the I/O Tester to the connector of the respective inputs or outputs
that are to be tested. Connect the cable “4x Input” to the Sub-D9 socket
“Input” for external power supply of the I/O Tester.

Configure the controller: set up at least one zone in a measurement channel.
Additionally, activate the entry “Deactivate programmable outputs” under the
tab “Service”
Group “Test”
with the button “Configure test”.
Procedure:
Test output collective error (connector “Output”, output 11)
–
In row “12x Output” LED 11 must light up while the test mode is still deactivated.
–
Press the button “Activate test mode” under the tab “Service”
Group “Test”.
The LED 11 in row “12x Output” must go out.
Test output collective alarm (connector “Output”, output 12)

Start the test mode by pressing the button “Execute test”.

Select the tree entry of a measurement channel in the dialog and activate the
alarm in a zone.
–
The LED 12 in row “12x Output” must light up.
Check programmable outputs
–
Start the test mode by pressing the button “Execute test”.
–
Activate the tree entry of the output in the dialog that is to be tested.
–
The LED with the corresponding number must light up in row “12x Output” for
the standard outputs.

The assignment for the testing of the extended outputs can be found in the
installation manual.
Check programmable inputs
–
Start the test mode by pressing the button “Execute test”.
–
Activate the tree entry of the output in the dialog, which corresponds to the
number of the input that is to be tested. For information, the LED with the
corresponding number lights up in the display row “4x Input” or “12x Input”.
–
Set the filter in the event memory to the type “inputs” and check whether the
correct input has been set to “Active:[<Input nuber>]”.
–
The extended inputs have to be tested by looping back the extended outputs.
The assignment for the extended inputs can be found in the installation manual.
