6.3 Status Displays
The status of the gateway is indicated by 4 status LEDs and a 7-segment display at the
front panel.
In addition, there are 16 drive LEDs that indicate the status of the monitorings of the
respective drive.
6.3.1 LED Status Display (Gateway)
The status of the gateway is indicated by
4 LEDs at the front panel.
6.3.1.1 LED Status Display for PROFIBUS
The LEDs “SYS” and “COM” display the status of the fieldbus module.
LED Color Status Meaning Reaction
SYS Yellow Flashes
(1 Hz)
Fieldbus module in boot loader
mode and waits for firmware.
This must not occur during
normal operation. Send the
gateway to SIEB & MEYER.
Yellow Flashes
(5 Hz)
Firmware is downloaded into the
Fieldbus module.
This must not occur during
normal operation. Send the
gateway to SIEB & MEYER.
Yellow Flashes
randomly
Fieldbus module signals a hard‐
ware error.
Send the gateway to
SIEB & MEYER.
Green On Normal operation – PROFIBUS
is in cyclic data exchange mode.
None
Green Flashes
(5 Hz)
PROFIBUS slave does not
exchange data cyclically.
Check the configuration of the
participants in master.

This must not occur during

Red On Communication problem Send the gateway to

– Off Slave is not configured and can
not exchange data. The Fieldbus
module enters this state usually
during the startup phase.

LINK 4 communication are indicated by the
LEDs STA1 and STA2.
