3.2.4
Operating principle
The device consists of a laser scanner (laser diode and optics) with fixed focus and
an electronics unit with integrated decoder, as well as a PROFINET module. The laser
scanner and electronic unit are encased in a compact metal housing.
The light is emitted through the viewing window in the industrial housing, and the
reflected light from the bar code then returns through this window.
The use of various focusing settings, resolutions, reading methods, integrated heating
if applicable, mounting options and optics enables the device to be employed in most
industrial applications.
