1- Release the turntable, moving the arm of the tyre changer and the PT 150 E unit out
of the working position (Fig. 30a).
2- Preselect the correct turntable aperture, so that when the wheel is placed on the
turntable, the clamps are in contact with the tyre as close as possible to the rim edge.
3- Move the PT 150 E unit arm into the working position: the arm locks automatically
at the centre of the turntable.
4- Fit the rim presser cone on the arm, pressing upwards to snap.
Loosen the roller lock wheel and move the
roller outwards so that it clear of the wheel.
Tighten the wheel to lock the roller in this
position.
5- Lower the lever (Fig. 29)
until the cone presses
the rim (see Fig. 29)
downwards by a few cen-
timetres (see Fig. 30).
The handling arms pose a potential crushing risk for the hands.
Always work with extreme caution.
6- Close the clamps with the relative pedal, then lift the arm by pushing the lever (Fig.
30a) up. Remove the bead presser cone and return the arm to the “not working”
position (Fig. 30b).
