8.
Using the trolley movement control, shift the trolley
in the inner side of the tire, and, by means of the
tool movement control, rotate the tool so that the
disk faces the side of the tire that has to be bead
broken.
9.
Operating the working arm movement control, re-
lease the working arm.
10.
By activating the working arm shifting control,
use the bead breaking disk to press the tyre heel
towards the rim centre and, use the pedal, turn
the tightening flange without interruption until the
locking ring is released.
i
Use mounting paste for complete detachment of tire
and rim.
i
For wheels that are particularly hard or that are
blocked on the rim it is suggested to use two locking
clamps (2) available upon request. Use the clamps
to block the ring on the rim in order to set free
also the tire ring during bead breaking of the front
edge. If the ring doesn't come off make the tire with
the stuck ring come out. To remove it lock it to the
machine locking flange as if it were a normal rim and
bead brake it from the back.

5.3 Tire
mounting
Danger of car accidents caused by damaged
rims or tires!
In case of tire or rim damage during moun-
ting dangerous or even lethal situations may
occur during driving.
The operator has to be specifically trained.
Do not exert excessive forces on the tire or
the rim, adjust the slow rotation speed.
Use a sufficient quantity of mounting
paste.
In case of anomalies, e.g. suspicious noi-
ses, stop mounting immediately.
For mounting of critical rim/tire combina-
tions, read the Wdk publications available
in German and English!(www.wdk.de:
mounting/demounting instructions – crite-
ria catalogue).
Warning - tire damage risk!
Cracks in case of operation on cold tire. Tire
explosion in case of high speed.
Inner temperature of the tire must be at
least 15 °C.
Read the Wdk publications available in Ger-
man and English! (www.wdk.de: mounting/
demounting instructions – tire overheating)
Before mounting put the tire in a temperate
room.
5.3.1 Mounting
Warning – hand injury danger!
During locking plate rotation there is a risk of
crush injuries.
Do not insert the fingers between the tire
and the rim.
Mounting of tubeless and supersingle tires
1.
Lubricate with mounting paste both tire beads, the
shoulder and the drop centre of the rim.
2.
Operating the working arm movement control, re-
lease the working arm.
3.
To mount tires which present no particular difficulty
bring the cover (lean it over) the platform.
