MAINTENANCE SECTION - Continued
DECK MAINTENANCE POSITION
Place the tractor and mower on a firm and level
surface.
1. Stop engine and make sure parking brake is
set BEFORE dismounting the tractor.
2. It is necessary to disconnect driveline from
tractor PTO shaft.
3. Move rear gauge wheels to the highest
position.
4. Remove the 518 clevis pin (1) from the rear lift
rods. It is not necessary to remove the rear lift
rods.
5. On MC60RD (887738) or MC72RD (887739)
mowers only, move ear extension to flip up hole.
(See the figure to the right) DO NOT mow with
ear extension in this position.
6. Start the tractor engine and raise the mower to
the fully raised position. Stop the engine and
make sure the parking brake is set BEFORE
dismounting the tractor.
7. While pushing the mower deck forward with
the foot and pulling by hand (as shown in figure
to the right) lower the mower by placing the lift
control in the float position.
8. Reverse the procedure to put mower in
mowing position.
SERVICE LINK POSITION
The service links (2) attach to the rod on the top
of the lift arms. They are used to hold the deck
off the ground for minor maintenance when the
full flip up position is not required.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to disconnect the mower
driveline from the tractor RIO shaft.
1. Start the engine and raise the mower deck all
the way up.
2. Shut off the engine and connect both service
links to the pins on the lift arms.
WARNING: NEVER START THE ENGINE
WHILE STANDING BESIDE THE TRACTOR.
