PRE-DELIVERY CHECKLIST 

 

PRE-DELIVERY CHECKLIST

 

 

Inspect the Front Mount Mower thoroughly after 
assembly to be certain it is set up properly before  
delivery to the customer. 
 
The following checklist is a reminder of points to 
inspect. Check off each item as it is found to be 
satisfactory, or after proper adjustment and 
lubrication is made. 
 

o

  Check all bolts and other fasteners to 

ensure they are correctly torqued. 

o

  Check that all cotter pins are properly 

installed 

o

  Check and make sure the driveshaft is 

installed correctly, and make sure the 
lockcoller is seated on the tractor PTO 
shaft 

o

   Make sure the gearbox is properly 

serviced and the seals are not leaking 

o

  Check and MAKE SURE the blades are 

correctly installed and torqued to 110-130 
ft. lbs.(150-1 77 Nm). 

o

  Make sure all Safety Shields are installed 

and securely in place. 

o

   Make sure all Safety Decals are in place 

and readable (Refer to page 42 for decal 
location and page 43 for identification) 
and securely attached to the tractor. 

o

  Make sure all safety shields and guards 

are securely in place. 

 

DANGER: 

ALWAYS USE AN 

APPROVED ROLL OVER PROTECTIVE 
STRUCTURE (ROPS) AND SEAT BELT FOR 
SAFE OPERATION.   OVERTURNING A 
TRACTOR WITHOUT A ROPS CAN RESULT IN 
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.   IF YOUR 
TRACTOR IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A ROPS 
AND SEATBELT SEE YOUR SHIBAURA 
DEALER. 

DELIVERY CHECKLIST 

o

  Show customer how to make adjustments 

and how to check blade condition and 
security. 

o

  Explain the importance of proper 

lubrication and point out the lube points on 
the mower. 

o

  Point out the Safety Features and options, 

and explain the importance of safety 
shielding. 

o

  Add wheel weights, ballast in tires, and/or 

rear weight as necessary to improve 
tractor/mower stability. 

o

  Make sure the tractor is equipped with a 

ROPS and seat belt and explain the 
importance of their use. 

o

  Explain the importance of correct lighting 

when operating at night, or close to public 
roadways. 

o

  Give the Operator’s Manual to the 

customer. Ask him to read and familiarize 
himself with manual information, 
especially all Safety Precautions. 

 

DAILY CHECKLIST 

  Check and make sure the mower is 

properly and securely attached to the 
tractor. 

  Make sure all safety shields and guards 

are securely in place. 

  Check all bolts and fasteners to be sure 

they are tight and clevis and cotter pins 
are secure. 

  Check the condition of the mowing blades 

and make sure they are correctly torqued 
in place. 

  Check the air pressure in the tractor and 

mower tyres (see page 10 for tyre
