CUTTING HEIGHTS
This mower can be adjusted to mow from 1.18
inches to 4.72 inches (30 to 120 mm) height of
cut. Grass mowing height should be determined
by encountered conditions and personal
preference.
The following recommendations are provided as
a guide for cutting height selection.
Lawns = 1.18 to 3” (30-76mm)
Field Cutting = 3” to 4.72” (76-120 mm)
To change the height of cut it is necessary to
adjust the gauge wheels and the rear lift rods
with the unit parked on a driveway, garage floor
or similar flat and level surface.
GAUGE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
1. Start the tractor engine and raise the mower
by pulling rearward on the hydraulic control lever.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key and set
the tractor parking brake.
3. After determining the desired cutting height, as
shown on the chart above (duplicated as a label)
on the mower deck), remove the lock pin from
one of the front wheel spindles. Lower spindle
shaft until C-Spacers (1) can be slid over the
relief area of spindle shaft. Install the number of
C-Spacers needed to acquire desired cutting
height. Slide shaft up and install remainder of C-
Spacers, washer and lock pin to top of shaft.
Repeat the adjustment on second gauge wheel.
4. To adjust rear gauge wheels, use the chart
shown across or label on the mower deck to
determine desired cutting height. Remove wire
ring and clevis pin (2) from one of the gauge
wheels. Place the spindle shaft in line with the
appropriate cross hole, reinstall the clevis pin
and wire ring. Repeat the adjustment on the
second rear gauge wheel.
