Connecting to Host Computer
Using MM Series as External Hard Disk
Using the connection cradle allows you to use the MM series as an external hard disk
of your host computer. You can read and modify the data on the MM series and also
store the data into the MM series, which is powered off, without any media or LAN
function.
The MM series can be used as an external hard disk of your host computer with one of
the following operating systems installed:
•
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition/Microsoft Windows XP Professional
(hereafter called Windows XP)
•
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (hereafter called Windows 2000)
•
Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (hereafter called Windows Me)
Before connecting the MM series to the host computer for the first time, be sure to
install the connection cradle program (described later).
