The inset in Figure 14 ‐ 1 enlarges the numeral 2
and arrow stamped on the chassis to indicate
the front of the chassis.
When to Replace
Replace the chassis when diagnostic testing or
inspection determines the assembly is defective.
For diagnostic procedures, contact a Segway
Service Representative.
The Segway PT chassis is serialized and may
only be replaced with permission from Segway.
A new serial number may be issued, and the
serialized replacement chassis may be shipped
to order from Segway Service Headquarters.
You should replace a power base chassis under
any of the following conditions, including,
without limitation:
•
Stripped screw holes
•
Cracks are visible
•
Ingress of moisture or dirt is evident
•
Battery vent is damaged
