Handlebar Removal and Installation
To remove handlebar from LeanSteer frame:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Use 3mm hex wrench to remove (3)
fasteners. See Figure 1 ‐ 2 .

3. Remove handlebar and handlebar clamp
from LeanSteer frame.
To install handlebar on LeanSteer frame:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Place handlebar against LeanSteer frame
with the bevel facing backward and Segway
logo facing up. See Figure 1 ‐ 2 .
3. Position handlebar clamp against handlebar.
4. Insert (3) fasteners (20306 ‐ 00001) through
handlebar clamp into LeanSteer frame and
tighten by hand.
5. Check to ensure that gap between handlebar
clamp and LeanSteer frame is even and
equidistant between top and bottom.
6. Using 3mm hex wrench, alternate between 3
fasteners, evenly tightening in small
increments until full torque setting of 6.0 N ‐
m is achieved.
7. Perform post ‐ service tests ( page A ‐ 1 ).
