Motor Removal
To remove motor:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Establish a serviceable power base
( page 7 ‐ 1 ).
3. Remove gearbox on same side of machine as
motor that you want to remove ( page 8 ‐ 4 ).
4. Remove pivot base assembly ( page 9 ‐ 14 ).
5. Remove chassis cover ( page 10 ‐ 3 ).
6. Use small flathead screwdriver and gently
lift tab on connector (see Figure 13 ‐ 1 ) from
back of motor, and then carefully pull on
both connectors to unseat. See Figure 13 ‐ 2 .

7. Use T ‐ 25 6 ‐ lobe wrench to remove (2) SHCS,

12, 6 ‐ lobe screws that attach
motor to chassis. See Figure 13 ‐ 3 .

8. Pull motor straight out of side of chassis.
