8.4.10 Interface Harness [70096105] [70096106]
When working properly, the antenna can be rotated in azimuth as follows: If the tongue of the antenna (the part
of the azimuth post with counterweights on it) is pointing towards the bow, the antenna should rotate
+270 degrees clockwise to reach the limit or should rotate -270 degrees counterclockwise from the bow to reach
the other limit. This makes 540 degrees of rotation.

Part Location:
[70096105] is used with a power injector on a 1.5m L&S-band antenna, 110/220 VAC Input
(see drawing 7096105 on pages 63 to 65) with an Sk-II GPS.
[70096106] is the same as [70096105] except that it attaches to an Acutime Gold GPS.
The interface harness connects at the radome base (using the mil connector) and SMA connector and runs up
through the cable spool to connect to the PCU assembly and power on the RF electronics plate.

drawing 70909040 on page 170.
Procedure:
1.
Disconnect the interface harness connectors from the radome base bracket (power and signal)
(drawing 70096105, Sheet 1 of 2, on page 63).
2.
Cut the interface cable 10 cm (4.0”) from where it enters the J3 MS connector.
3.
Disconnect the interface harness from the PCU and power injector. If this antenna is L&S-band,
disconnect the MS connector at the feed.
4.
Starting at the cable spool opening, detach the interface harness (cable clamps, tie-wraps) from the unit
(drawing 70096105, Sheet 2 of 2, on page 65.)
5.
Remove the screw and washer at the top of the cable spool (drawing 70909049, item 33 on page 47).
