Note: (This instruction is also valid for new products)
Device and handpiece cable are designed to be wipe-disinfected, they can be cleaned and disinfected with a disposable
tissue applying quick-acting-disinfection-spray FD 333

carefully), completely wet surfaces. Observe instructions of the s
pray manufacturer. In addition, steam-sterilize the
handpiece and the tool, a mechanical preparation is not possible.
CAUTION:
Special attention has to be paid when cleaning ultrasonic handpieces.
Only the ultrasonic handpiece is suited for steam-sterilization.
Expose the ultrasonic handpiece to 138°C maximum.
Do not submerge the ultrasonic handpiece and the ultrasonic cable in fluids!
The ultrasonic cable may not be steam-sterilized!
The processing has to be done by sufficiently trained personnel only.
Restrictions of treatment
Frequent treatment has no or little impact on this instrument. The end of the lifetime is
usually determined by wear and damages caused by usage..

Destination of Usage:
Remove surface contaminations with a disposable paper tissue
Storage and Transport:
Process the ultrasonic cable and the ultrasonic handpiece immediately after use. Do not
allow residuals to dry, do not use protein fixing cleaning or disinfection agents.
Avoid waiting time.
Preparation before cleaning:
Disconnect ultrasonic handpiece from cable, remove instruments with the help of tool and
screw off the grey front-cap from the handpiece

- Process: Spray a disposable tissue with FD 333

and thoroughly wipe the ultrasonic
cable, front-cap, tool, the ultrasonic cable and the device. Remove all adhesions. Wet
surfaces completely, exposure time 5 min (observe instructions of the spray
manufacturer). (The inner parts of the plug may not come in contact with any fluids,
therefore do not spray them directly).
Rinse the ultrasonic handpiece by using the rinsing adapter (picture 17) and a standard
syringe from the back with demineralized water for 20 seconds. Thoroughly wipe all edges
and also the thread of the ultrasonic hand piece.
Disinfection:

- Process: Spray a disposable tissue with FD 333

and thoroughly wipe the ultrasonic
handpiece, front-cap, tool, the ultrasonic cable, the device and also the rinsing adapter,
remove all residuals. Wet all surfaces, exposure time 5 min (observe instructions of the
spray manufacturer). (The inner parts of the plug may not come in contact with any fluids,
therefore do not spray them directly).
Thoroughly wipe all edges and also the screw thread of the ultrasonic hand piece.
Drying:
Wipe the ultrasonic handpiece, front-cap, tool, the ultrasonic cable and the device with
disposable paper tissue. In addition, blow-dry the ultrasonics handpiece with oil-free, dry
and germ-low compressed air (use sterile filter).
