WARNING!
Risk of electric shock, risk of crushing or injuries from fallen
parts!
Misuse can expose third persons in the danger zone to the risk of electric
shock, entrapment or hitting by parts thrown away.
■
If foreseeable misuse cannot be excluded (e.g. through additional mechan-
ical safety measures), the prohibition and consequences of this possible
misuse must be clearly indicated. This also includes providing employees
with explicit information during the induction that failure to comply can
result in claims for damages and criminal prosecution. The employees
should confirm having received this information by signing a form.
2.7 Duty of the user
NOTE!
The user is obligated to train personnel in safety awareness at regular
intervals and to qualify personnel for the required work with the control unit
and/or for operating the software. This also includes training on individual,
system-related risks of the overall systems.
The user is obligated to comply with all required accident prevention measures and to prepare any required
emergency measures.
The user of the control unit is obligated to only let personnel work with the control unit who comply with the
requirements of section Personnel qualification.
The user has to ensure and check at appropriate intervals:
■
that the safety requirements listed in this document are implemented and complied with before all work on
and with the control unit
■
that all safety devices and safety features have been correctly installed and function properly
■
that safety devices are never bypassed, manipulated or disabled
■
that any damaged and defective parts are replaced immediately
■
that employees receive the required equipment for safely carrying their work
