3.6.5.2.A. SEMI-AUTOMATIC MODE.
Use the button “JOG RW” (JOG BACKWARD) or “JOG FW” (JOG FORWARD) to
reach the position “open dies” (with the upper die in the highest position).
WHEN YOU USE THESE ELECTRIC COMMANDS, YOU HAVE TO CLOSE THE PROTECTION
COVERS.
Please refer to the photos at next pages.
Open the front protection cover of the machine and assemble loosely the upper
die into its support UDS (

) with the 3 nuts FN and assemble
loosely the lower die with bolts on the lower die support LDS (
photo 3.10_ REAR VIEW
).
Assemble the centring pins on the upper die.
Close the front protection cover and press the push-button “JOG FW” on the
touch screen to run forward the machine to move down the slide SSL (
photo 3.10_
REAR VIEW
) till the centring pins are near to the lower die.
Open the front protection cover and put the dies so that the centring pins can
enter into the lower die.
Close the front protection cover and press the push-button “JOG FW” on the
touch screen till the dies are completely closed (“closed dies” position).
Open the front protection cover and check the dies closing by adjusting the
position of the upper die:
TO MOVE DOWN THE UPPER DIE:
_ loosen the two nuts UN (

) that lock the slide SSL;
_ unlock the two adjusting screws AS by unscrewing the nuts AS_N (
photo 3.10_ AS
);
_ unscrew the two adjusting screws AS till the upper die reaches the correct
position;
_ lock the two adjusting screws AS by screwing the nuts AS_N (
photo 3.10_ AS
);
_ lock the slide SSL by screwing the two nuts UN;
_ screw the two ring collars RC (
photo 3.10_ REAR VIEW
) till they are against the slide
SSL.
TO MOVE UP THE UPPER DIE:
_ loosen the two nuts UN (
photo 3.10_ FRONT VIEW
) that lock the slide SSL;
_ loosen the two ring collars RC (
photo 3.10_ REAR VIEW
);
_ unlock the two adjusting screws AS by unscrewing the nuts AS_N (
photo 3.10_ AS
);
_ screw the two adjusting screws AS till the upper die reaches the correct position;
_ lock the two adjusting screws AS by screwing the nuts AS_N (
photo 3.10_ AS
);
_ lock the slide SSL by screwing the two nuts UN;
_ screw the two ring collars RC (
photo 3.10_ REAR VIEW
) till they are against the slide
SSL.
We advise to check that the opening between the upper and lower dies is about
0.10 mm (approximately the thickness of a paper sheet).
