from portrait mode to landscape mode.

. The Icon Glossary displays. These are the

available icons that display on the top line of the screen.

Backlights

Backlights illuminate the display and the keypad. When you press
any key or open the phone, the backlights come on. They go off
when the phone is idle for a period of time (set in the

Backlight

menu).

Note:

During a phone call, the display backlight dims and turns off after 10
seconds. When you press a key during a call, the backlight turns on
then dims for the period of time set in the Backlight settings. (See

“Backlight”

on page 63.) The phone screen dims for that time period

and turns off after 60 seconds.
