Double acting actuators
Ö
Unscrew and remove the plug (339), see Fig. 9-10
Ö
Unscrew completely the end cap bolts (318) as per the se-
quence shown in the Fig. 9-8.
Ö
Remove the end caps (30).
Ö
Remove the o-rings (14) Fig. 9-11.

9.3.5 HCD components disassembly
Refer to Fig. 9-2, Fig. 9-12 and Fig. 9-13
Ö
Put the actuator in vertical position.
Ö
With actuator in vertical position, remove following compo-
nents in this sequence:
– Nut (335)
– Lock washer (334)
– Washer (320)
– Disk (306B) together with the stem (330)
– Stop screw (312) with washer (327)
– HCD Body (301H)
– Internal fl ange (303),
– The spring clip (310)
– The bushing (307) springs (17 only for spring return actu-
ator).
Ö
Remove the following soft components and discard, if repla-
cing, all soft components:
– Bushing fl ange (307)
– O-ring (308 and 309)
– O-ring (311 and 329)
– O-ring (321)
– O-ring (322)
– Bearing disk (323)
– O-ring (326)
– Plug (only for model HCD 3000 and HCD 4000, 331A).

Repeat section 9.3.4 and 9.3.5 on the other side of the actu-
ator.

9.3.6 Pistons disassembly
Refer to Fig. 9-1 and Fig. 9-14
Ö
Holding the body (50) with a bench vice or a similar device.
Ö
Rotate the drive shaft (60/60.1) until the pistons (40) are dis-
engaged.
Ö
Remove o-rings (16), the piston backs (05) and the piston
head bearings (15).
