Russound RFR-E5 Installation Manual

UPDATE FIRmWARE

Both the RFR-E5 remote and its cradle support firmware updates. When

firmware updates are issued, the files will be posted under Downloads on the
Sphere website, www.russoundsphere.com.

On the RFR-E5 remote, the programming and update port is located on the

back of the remote behind the battery access door.

The cradle update port is located on the bottom of the unit behind a small

removable panel.

For both pieces, the Russound USB-A4P USB Programming Cable

(Russound P/N 8300-531415) is used to connect the port to a PC for the
update procedure.
