Authorize Support
The RFR-E5 provides a portal to a Russound network support tunnel when
an installer needs Russound’s help troubleshooting an ACA-E5 system.
The Authorize Support feature enables the system to be accessed remotely
over Ethernet for Russound technical support to diagnose, update or program
the system.
From the main menu, select “Settings,” then “Installation.” Choose “Authorize
Support.” On the Authorize support screen, select “On.” A session number will
be provided in the Session Number box.
A “Press Menu for Details” message is displayed if there is a problem
establishing a tunnel.
During the support tunnel process, the system is unavailable for use.
Factory Initialization
If it becomes necessary, the RFR-E5’s settings can be returned to factory
state through a factory initialization from the RFR-E5. A factory initialization
deletes all programmed settings and resets them to the factory defaults.
From the Installation menu, scroll to and select “Factory Initialize.” Select
“Reset Defaults.” Once the initialzation is complete, the system binding/zone
setup procedure begins when a button is pressed to power on the remote.
